Public Transit & Regional Bus Networks

Spiaggia di Tuerredda is positioned in a rural, undeveloped coastal region on the southwestern tip of Sardinia. There are no metro, tram, or railway lines servicing the immediate area. Public transit travelers must rely on the regional bus network managed by ARST (Trasporti Regionali Della Sardegna).

Direct bus service from Cagliari to Tuerredda is unavailable, making a transfer necessary. The primary route involves taking the ARST Linea 129 bus from Cagliari Autostazione ARST (located at Piazza Matteotti near the railway station) toward Sp 71 Baia Chia. This initial leg takes approximately 1 hour and 16 minutes, costing between €3.00 (~$3.27) and €5.00 (~$5.45) one-way.

At the Baia Chia junction, passengers transfer to the summer-extended Linea 129 coastal run, which stops directly at the Tuerredda beach access road drop-off point. The second leg of the trip takes about 20 minutes, with the total travel time (including transfer layovers) averaging 2 hours and 26 minutes. Combined ticketing is priced between €4.00 (~$4.36) and €7.00 (~$7.63).

Private Taxis & Ride-Hailing Limitations

Traditional app-based ride-hailing networks like Bolt, UberX, or Grab do not operate in southern Sardinia. Instead, private point-to-point transit relies on regional taxi dispatchers and localized digital integrations.

Uber operates in the Cagliari metropolitan area strictly via the Uber Taxi framework, which dispatches fully licensed, local metered taxi operators. The app supports cashless in-app payment and 24/7 requesting, but pickup availability drops sharply outside the immediate city limits of Cagliari.

A private transfer from Cagliari or Cagliari Elmas Airport (CAG) to Spiaggia di Tuerredda costs between €100.00 (~$109.00) and €140.00 (~$152.60) each way. Booking in advance is recommended to ensure vehicle availability.

Vehicular Navigation & Parking

Traveling by private car is the most flexible option but requires navigating the winding SP71 coastal highway (Strada Provinciale 71).

Driving Directions from Cagliari: Travel southwest along the SS195 Sulcitana highway past Pula and Chia, then transition to the scenic SP71 toward Porto Teulada. Turn right at the marked Tuerredda intersection.

Driving Directions from Teulada: Travel east via the SS195, turn onto via Enrico Addis, and join the SP71 for approximately 19 kilometers before reaching the beach access road.

⛔ Roadside Parking Prohibited

Roadside parking along the narrow SP71 highway is strictly illegal. Municipal police carry out regular patrols and will tow illegally parked vehicles. Keep the road clear for emergency services.
